Careers Advisor
Mrs Johal, Independent Careers Advisor
In school Monday and Tuesday in the Radio Room.
I provide impartial professional careers advice. Careers advice is offered in school to give students an opportunity to speak confidentially about their career plans and to gain advice and information from an independent person with careers counselling skills. Students can gain support with all Post 16 and Post 18 matters including apprenticeships. I am also available at lunchtime for ‘drop in’ support and quick questions. If you would like to know how to get the best out of your career appointment, please click on the following guide:

LMI (Labour Market Information)is a useful tool for students and parents and includes information on progression routes post- 16 and post-18. There is a section for SEND students, Apprenticeships and it confirms what the ‘growth sectors’ are for the region and links back to the priority sectors for the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership). There are also short videos to watch and links to written exercises for students to complete.
