Every year the Birmingham Admissions Team removes every applicant from the waiting lists across all schools. This is everyone who has applied for a place at our school for the current year their child is in. If you were on our waiting list, you are more than welcome to reapply for the new academic year in September.
If you would like to reapply, please fill in an ‘In-Year Application Form’ and bring this into our reception after the 5th September 2024.
Many thanks
King Edward VI Lordswood School for Girls
King Edward VI Lordswood School for Girls & Sixth Form Centre offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities from sport and the arts through to student leadership opportunities and community involvement.
Subject areas provide enrichment activities as well as study support clubs.
We know that students that engage in the life of the school enjoy school more, have better attendance and there achieve higher outcomes in external examinations. We therefore encourage all students to participate in at least one enrichment activity per week.
Lunchtime activities require students to collect a pass from either the teacher running the activity or student reception before the start of lunch. This gives students access to the canteen immediately so they can gain the most from the activity or club.
After school activities require parental permission, this is usually via the completion of the clubs joining form, which is sent out at the end of every term via the KEVI app, or via a note in their planner. This is to prevent parents from undue worry if their child is late home from school.
