The Health and Social Care curriculum at King Edwards VI Lordswood School for Girls promotes high expectations, independence and inclusivity throughout. Students engage in discussions and share views and opinions in a safe and respectful environment. The study of Health and Social Care enables students to explore areas that influence how we develop throughout life stages and in turn raise expectations of how we can live successful and healthy lives now and in our future. Further study of health and social care to level 3 allows students to deepen their knowledge and to apply it to a range of scenarios.Students will investigate health and safety policies and the impact these have as well as developing understanding of equality rights and diversity. It is important for all students to learn to be respectful of others and ready to support their family and community.
